Zhang Feng Yi relocated to Dongchuan, Yunnan, with his father. In 1971, he departed from high school before finishing his studies and opted to join the opera troupe of a local performing arts group in Dongchuan.
Zhang Feng Yi, Acting Career
During his second year as a student in 1980, Zhang was chosen by Hong Kong's Phoenix Studio to portray Xin Dalei in "Treasure Hunting in Desert," marking his film debut. The following year, he took on the role of Xiangzi in "Rickshaw Boy," a film directed by Ling Zifeng and based on a story by Lao She.
