Synopsis of "Left On Read" 2023 Drama

As the summer holiday of a group of high school students draws to a close, their peaceful lives take a harrowing turn. A mysterious figure named "Admin" adds them to a chat group and compels them to participate in a deadly game. The objective is to identify and eliminate "the target," an unknown individual within the group. Failing to respond to messages from fellow members results in instant death. Panic ensues as students in the class begin to perish one by one. Ho Hei Yin, a gentle and uncomplicated student, bravely confronts "Admin" to protect his cherished friends.

In a bid for the class's survival, Yeung Yuet Ying pledges to uncover the identity of "Admin," even at the risk of her safety. Shek Hiu Yeung, a cynical student, focuses on saving as many classmates as possible by swiftly identifying and removing "the target." Amid their efforts to rescue others, some individuals reveal their true nature under the pressure of the situation. One participant exploits the game to secure victory by causing harm to others. Another ruthlessly kills friends as an act of revenge. Yet another manipulates friends as pawns to ensure personal survival. The once idyllic setting where they should be enjoying their youth transforms into a gruesome scene of carnage.
