Wendell Pierce joined both Benjamin Franklin High School and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and he completed his graduation in 1981. The same year in 1981, he was named a Presidential Scholar of the Arts.
Additional Work Along With Acting
Wendell Pierce founded the Pontchartrain Park Community Development Corp to construct affordable homes that use solar and geothermal energy for families who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
